Advice I’d give to someone who hasn’t tried typed therapy:
“You should definitely give it a go. Typing allows us to cover loads more than you might imagine and people often feel released from the self-consciousness that can come with other types of treatment. Just the act of typing out their thoughts, feelings and dilemmas helps get things off their chest, and in reading it back, they can have a 'bingo moment' where they might see things from new perspectives.
CBT Therapist

Specialisms: Anxiety disorders, Low self-esteem

Advice I’d give to someone who hasn’t tried typed therapy:
"We can all relate to life being hectic, there are often not enough hours in the day. We bring therapy to you, in the comfort of your own home, at a time that works best for you. The messaging system means I hear about your between-session homework experiences and I am at the end of a message to offer you support during the tough times. There’s also a helpful goal setting page we can use together, and you can access the session transcripts whenever you need to."

My thoughts on what typed therapy with ieso is like:
"Typed therapy may sound a little strange at first but soon you’ll realise that you have the convenience of speaking to a real therapist at a time and place that suits you. It can be quick and easy to build a therapeutic relationship and get tools and support to improve your mood."

My thoughts on what typed therapy with ieso is like:
"There is something so powerful about putting thoughts and feelings into words – getting it ‘out of our heads’ can be the first real step towards developing a different perspective on things. It’s such a bonus to have the session transcripts to re-read too. Typed therapy really provides a wonderful space to reflect and cultivate a new perspective."
CBT Therapist
BABCP Accredited
Specialisms: PTSD; Low self-esteem
19 years’ experience
Over 8000 hours of ieso therapy delivered
Advice I’d give to someone who is unsure about starting their first session:
“The majority of people I have worked with feel significantly better by the end of treatment. It's hard work and takes a lot of time and practice, but if you are willing to give it your all, then there's every chance you will start to enjoy your life again.”

My thoughts on what typed therapy with ieso is like:
"As human beings, we are not able to remember and retain 100% of conversations or discussions we have with others, including 'traditional' face to face therapy. One of the great advantages of typed therapy is the ability to read back through your entire session transcripts, messages between yourself and your therapist and to even utilise these as part of relapse prevention planning."
